Dorothy MarieJohnsonDecaturFuneral for Dorothy Marie Johnson, 81, of Decatur will be Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Decatur City Cemetery.Mrs. Johnson, who died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at River City Care & Rehabilitation, was born February 28, 1931, in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Marie Johnson Baker and one son-in-law, Danny South.She is survived by three daughters, Jackie South (Don) of Hartselle, Phyllis Johnson West of Decatur and Debbie Johnson South of Decatur; son-in-law, Mike Baker of Ringgold, Ga.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Don South, David South, Daniel South, James Sparks, Casey West and Mike Baker.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley or Fairview Baptist Church.The family would like to express their gratitude and special thanks to Dr. Steve Chandler and Mrs. Annie Priest for their compassionate care of Mrs. Johnson.Guestbook available at www.sheltonfuneralhome.net
