MITCHELL, DOROTHY MAE, 88, of Okolona, passed away March 24, 2009 at Norton-Audubon Hospital. She was the former Dorothy Mae Cook, a Louisville native, a retired saw operator for Reynolds Metals and a member of Wilder Park Crafts and Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin W. Mitchell Sr. She is survived by her children, James Lee Mitchell, Hazel Marie Hodges, Melvin W. Mitchell Jr., William Thomas Mitchell and Steven Louis Mitchell; a sister, Lucille O'Banion; 12 grandchildren; 24 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service for Mrs. Mitchell will be noon Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday.
