Funeral service for Dorothy Mae Jordan, 89, will be Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Rabbittown Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Dishman officiating. Burial will be in Rabbittown Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center on today May 31, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. Ms. Jordan died on Friday, May 30, 2014, at RMC in Anniston. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Buschman and her husband Neil; her two sons, Mike Jordan and his wife Camilla and Joe F. Jordan and his wife Margie; six grandchildren, Jared Jordan, Jamie Jordan, Anna Buschman, Cassie Frain, Sarah Norman and Matthew Jordan; one great grandchild, Rachel Frain; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Moran, Larry Moran, Nicky Clay, Jared Jordan, Matt Jordan and Mike Frain. Honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Clay. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Rabbittown Baptist Church. She worked for Union Yarn Mills in Piedmont during World War II where she was asked to wear overalls while she worked because she did a man's job. Ms. Jordan worked in the mill at night and farmed during the day. She was a city girl who married into a country family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
