Dorothy Mae Jones-Counts, of 667 Rutherford Road, No. 118, died on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at her home. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Ellison and Carrie Davenport Jones.Survivors: Husband, John Albert Counts, Sr.; daughter, Dorothy Ann Jackson, of Newberry; two sons, John Anthony (Kelly) Jones, of Greenville, and John Albert Counts Jr., of Newberry; two goddaughters, Diane Martin and Jeanette Hawkins, both of Greer; seven sisters, Bernice Stephenson and Azalee Tribble, both of Greer, Leila Caldwell, of Newberry, Minister Carrie Martin, of Greer, Eleanor Toland and Bertha Booker, both of Clinton, and Laura Cooley, of Greenville; three brothers, Willie Jones, of Prosperity, S.C., Larry Lattimore, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Anthony Lattimore, of Greenville; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a devoted niece, Essie Mae Jones, of Newberry; and an uncle, Thomas Davenport of Columbia.Funeral Service: Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mount Olive AME Church in Newberry County, with burial at the church cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 p.m. at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.
