MACQUEEN, Dorothy (nee McDonald) In loving memory of Dorothy MacQueen (nee McDonald), 78 years who passed away Wednesday evening, December 1st, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia where she married John in 1946. Dorothy was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 553 Chelmsford, she dedicated herself to the work of the Legion serving as a Service Officer and P.R.O. at branch and at Zone. The family was the center of her life. She will be fondly remembered for her honesty, fair mindedness and straight forward approach with life. Dorothy was an intelligent and witty woman who could really tell a great story. She leaves a wonderful legacy of caring and generosity which will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Beloved wife of John Hugh MacQueen predeceased 2001. Loving mother of Wayne (wife Della predeceased), Darlene (husband Ken Ryan), Blair (friend Phyllis) and Kevin (wife Sandy). Loving mother-in-law of Debbie. Cherished Nanny of Tracy, Tammy, John Curtis, John, Dawn, Melissa, Mark, Stephen, Diane, Trevor, Ian, Nevin, Tegan, Jarden and great grandchildren Jessica, Samantha, Liam and Kayleith. Dear daughter of Roderick and Minnie McDonald both predeceased. Dear sister of Anna McCumber and Johnny MacQueen both predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sunday, December 5th, 2004 at 1 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. No Flowers. Donations to Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 553 Chelmsford.
