Survived by husband Edward; daughters: Susan Murphy of Hammond, IN, Annette Murphy of Hobart, IN, Janet (Steve) Porras of Griffith, IN and Anna Marie Murphy of Boswell, IN; son, James Murphy of Hammond, IN; grandchildren: Jennifer, Michelle, Bobby and Nicole; great grandchildren: Alec, Cameron, Calli, Isaiah and Caleb; sisters: Bertie (Jerone) Pennington of Harriman, TN and Ruby (Everett) Malone of Hammond, IN; brothers: Sam Rhoten of Griffith, IN, Fred (Roberta) Rhoten of Gary, IN and David (Betty) Rhoten of Big Stone Gap, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Gilmore and Nancy Rhoten (nee Russell); brother, Eddie; and sister-in-law, Lois Rhoten. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Harvest Church located in Hammond, IN with Pastor Dave Comer officiating. Friends may meet with family on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith, IN.
