Dorothy M. (Deats) Age 73, of Gillett, PA, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2001 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born on December 6, 1927 in Rome, PA, a daughter of the late Zern and Mabel (Kromer) Deats. Dorothy was a retired machine operator for Trayer Products, Elmira, NY. She loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed computer games and flower gardening. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 18 years, Clarence E. Carter of Gillett, PA; sons, Ricky David Carter of Gillett, PA and Stephen (Sheila) Carter of Gillett, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Carter and Michael Lipari of Oneonta, NY; grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, and Kristen Carter, Ricky David, Jr., Crystal, Raymond, Ryan and Randy Carter, step-grandchildren, Robert, Joseph and Katherine Lipari; two great grandchildren; brother, Jesse (Anita) Deats of Windham Twp., PA; sister, Ethel Rifenberg of Warren Center, PA; sister-in-law, Jean Deats of Ottawa, IL; dear friends, Judy (Jake) Janney of Monroetown, PA, Marge (Wilbur) Elliot of Monroetown, PA, Marge Weaver, Shirley Allen, John Bull Shirley Hulslander. She is predeceased by her brother, Philip Deats; former husband, Malcolm Bull. It was Dorothy's request that there be no calling hours for funeral service.
