OBITUARY DOROTHY LINDA McDONALD Passed away at home, at the age of sixty-three, on Tuesday, December 18, after an epic struggle with cancer. She will remain forever in the hearts of her husband Robert Daley, her mother, Thelma, her sisters Heather (Denis Bernard) and Janet (Nelson Smith), her nieces Ann and Lauren, her nephews Denny, David and Trevor and other family members and friends. She is predeceased by her father Norman and her brother Norman. Linda graduated from Pius-X High School and worked as a secretary and executive assistant for thirty-seven years, the last twenty-nine in the History Department of Concordia University, before retiring in 1999. Linda was a tireless and dedicated worker, highly organized and efficient. She was also a lover of beauty, of art and of music, and was for many years a member of various choirs, including the Holy Family Choir and the Donovan Chorale. But her greatest virtue was her loving and gentle nature and her kindness and compassion. Her strength of character and love of life, of family and of God were evident in all she did. Her physical presence will be sadly missed, but the light of her spirit will never fade. Visitation at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Thursday, December 27, 2007, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 7355 Lajeunesse St., on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. and thence to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Linda's nurse Evelyn and homecare helpers Angela and Mildred.
