M. Dorothy Kelly, 92 WESTMINSTER -- M. Dorothy "Dot" (McGuirk) Kelly, 92, of Westminster, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, died Saturday, June 1, in the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.She was born in Fitchburg, on April 4, 1921 a daughter of the late George J. and Cora (Peloquin) McGuirk and graduated from St. Bernard's High School in 1938.During WWII Dot worked at Ft. Devens and would later work at Foster Grant in Leominster. She also worked several years at Landoli's Market before moving to Port Charlotte, FL with her husband, where they resided for thirty years. Dot cherished her retirement years, summering in Westminster at Lakewood Park.Her husband, J. Francis Kelly, died in 2002. She leaves her five children, John F. Kelly, Jr. and his wife Weltha of Port Charlotte, FL, Dorothy H. Kelly of South Hadley, Elizabeth E. Aho of Lenox, Susan K. Weiner and her husband Mark of Groveland and Nancy R. Kelly and her spouse Nancy E. O'Mealey of Westminster; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Sarah, Nicole, Zachary, Jonathan, Andrew, Jeremy and Julia; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Katherine Daw of West Yarmouth, a brother-in-law, Joseph V. Kelly and his wife Helen of Fitchburg and several nephews and nieces. Besides her husband she is predeceased by four brothers, George J. McGuirk, Bernard "Bunny" McGuirk, Robert F. McGuirk and Donald McGuirk and a sister, Rita A. Kelly.KELLY -- Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 5, from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church St., Westminster. Burial will be in the St. Bernard's Cemetery at a later date. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner V.N.A. c/o Office of Development, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
