Decatur<!-- Dorothy Kelley Johnson -->Funeral for Dorothy Kelley Johnson, 84, of Decatur will be Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at noon at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Don Froelich and the Chaplain at Comfort Care Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Johnson died Monday, February 8, 2010, at Falkville Nursing Home where she had spent the last six years with Alzheimer&#8217;s. She was born May 16, 1925, in Athens, Ga., to Hoyt and Lora Kelley. She was a graduate of Riverside High School (Class of 1943). She retired from Central Bank in Decatur, now Compass Bank, where she worked for 18 years as a teller. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Central United Methodist Church since age 12. She was also a member of the Women&#8217;s Society of Christian Service Circle Leader and taught the Good Fellowship Sunday Sunday school class for about 37 years and was a member of the Seekers Bible Club. Her parents, and her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Johnson, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Robert E. &#8220;Bob&#8221; Johnson Jr. and his wife, Judy, and Garry Kelley Johnson and his wife, Katherine, both of Decatur; one daughter, Beth Ann Johnson Lee and her husband, Davis, of Union Grove; five grandchildren, Robert E. Johnson III of Bartlett, Tenn., Amy Gillott and Justin Roberts, both of Decatur, Kelley Bailey of Huntsville and Peyton Johnson attending The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa; five stepgrandchildren, Wendy Lee of Raleigh, N.C., Melinda Hughes of Cary, N.C., Davis Lee Jr. of Union Grove, Steve Lee of Suwanee, Ga., and Michael Lee of Guntersville; six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Reagan and Morgan Johnson of Bartlett, Tenn., Alex and Andy Daniel, John Cade Gillott and Sarah Kathryn Roberts, all of Decatur; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hughes of Cary, N.C., Harrison Lee and Meredith Lee, both of Suwanee, Ga., Griffin Lee of Guntersville and Chase and Peyton Gillott.
