Flanagan, 87, who entered into rest May 26, 2014, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Coyle Officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park.Mrs. Flanagan was a native of Wisconsin, having made North Augusta her home for the past 57 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Flanagan taught chemistry and physics at North Augusta High School for over 50 years. She loved to travel and had a talent for cross stitching. Mrs. Flanagan was an extremely caring person who loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Flanagan.Survivors include a daughter, Mary Southern, Limerick, PA; a son, Thomas Flanagan, North Augusta, SC; a sister, Mary Frances Lane, Brookfield, WI; four grandchildren, Shawn Southern, Stephanie Ryan, Shannon Chaffin and Kristina Flanagan; six great-grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be Shawn Southern, Andrew Ryan, Michael Chaffin and Adam Nettles. Her son, Thomas Flanagan will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 until 7.
