ROSE, Dorothy June 84, a former resident of Okemos, MI, passed away on Sept. 17, 2008 in Clearwater. She was born in Elbing, KS on May 4, 1924 & graduated from high school in Bloomingdale, MI, in 1942 as valedictorian of her class. Dorothy married Robert Rose in 1944, who preceded her in death in 1987. For the past decade she was a resident of Clearwater. Her son Robert, who works at the Tampa Convention Center, has enjoyed being a caregiver for his mom. Daughter-in-law Christine is a second-grade teacher at McMullen Booth Elementary in Clearwater. Dorothy is survived by her sister Betty of Tucson, AZ; her two sons Robert, and Timothy of Livermore, CA; and her four grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Kristin, and Ian. Memorial services will take place in Lansing, MI. Donations to www.thehospice.org
