Life Began March 5, 1941 Life Ended January 2, 2015 WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Jones, a resident of Warrenton, Georgia, Sunset on January 2, 2015. Mrs. Jones was born March 5, 1941 to the late Mr. Bill and Bessie Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Calvin Jones, of 44 years of marriage and her son, Billy Johnson of Savannah, Ga.; her godson, Tony (Tish) Kersey of Warrenton, Ga.; her goddaughter, Valerie (David) McCord of Thomson, Ga., Nancy Reynolds, Mary (CJ) Jenkins of Warrenton, Ga.; her sisters, Mattie (Aaron) Hill of New York, Alfreda Johnson of Warrenton, Ga., Mary (Otis) Bass of Decatur. Ga.; her brothers, Willie (Sharon) Johnson of Atlanta, Ga., Jersey (Jackie) Johnson of Warrenton, Ga.; her god brother, Johnny Travis of Hephzibah, Ga.; her god sister, Mary Jones and her three sisters and her god sister, Hazel Grier. Her grandchildren are Faith (Ced) Evans of Virginia, Laricus Jones of Warrenton, and Thaddius Johnson, who preceded her in death, and a host of great-grandchildren and godchildren. Her sister-in-law, Dorothy (John) Lee of Augusta, Dee Dee Wright of Augusta, Mattie Green, Mrs. Carrie Green, who was like a mother to Mrs. Jones. A special friend and neighbor, Mrs. Maomie Burnett and Evelyn W. Johnson (mother to Mrs. Jones three nephews) A very special Thank You to Ministry of Faith Christian Center and Pastor George Ivey.
