NORWOOD Dorothy (Muriel) Johnson, (formerly Erlandson), passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009. She was 78 and young at heart, with an indomitable spirit that she passed on to her children. Born in South Boston, Dorothy was a resident of Norwood for more than 30 years. She raised a family of nine children and later worked in the Federal Reserve Bank and also as a supervisor for Baybank before retiring. She is survived by her children, Karen Luscombe and son-in-law, Brad, of Brockton, John Erlandson and his wife, Pat Lewis, of Cumming, Ga., Sharon-rose Erlandson and son-in-law, Donald Lewis, of Brighton, Mark Erlandson of Sammamish, Wash., Hope Erlandson of Attleboro, Naomi Erlandson of Round Rock, Texas, Rich Erlandson and his wife, Cheryl, of Wrentham, and Sarah Erlandson and son-in-law, Brad McCracken, of Norwood. She was predeceased by a daughter, Faith Erlandson, also of Norwood. Dorothy is survived by eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Bud Bennett, of Billerica, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Johnson, of West Roxbury. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27, at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., Norwood. Her funeral service will take place at the funeral home Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m.Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
