Dorothy Johnson GAFFNEY, SC-- Dorothy Mae Jolly Johnson, 90, of 856 White Plains Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2011. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Odas Johnson and the daughter of the late Charlie Jefferies Jolly and Lillie Mae Mode Jolly. She was retired from textiles and a member of White Plains Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Ralph Dean Johnson and wife Pat of Gaffney, Donald Johnson and wife Dell of Lugoff, SC, and Charles Johnson and wife Elaine of Rutherfordton, NC; three sisters, Helen Cook of Gaffney, Gladys Cook of Gaffney, and Christine Hammett of Cowpens; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Jolly; and two sisters, Elsie Petty and Ruby Fowler. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at White Plains Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the church with Rev. Bennie Davis, Rev. Nicholas King and Rev. John Parris officiating. Interment will be at White Plains Baptist Church. The family will be at the home of Dean and Pat Johnson, 144 Goucher School Road.
