DOROTHY J. EATON CROWN POINT, IN Dorothy J. Eaton (nee Hays), age 84 of Crown Point, IN, passed away at her home on June 26, 2008. Dorothy was a great mother and best friend to her children, Ed Eaton, Jeanette Skinner and Tana (John) Berg; loving grandmother to Ed Eaton, Jr, Christian (Melissa) Skinner, Tom Eaton, Nathan (Marissa) Gale and Daniel (Kim) Berg; and great-grandmother to Tommy and Travis Eaton. She also leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Claradine Hill, 4 brothers, Clifford (Alice), Donald (Nila), Norman (Martha) and Gene Hays; and special daughters-in- law: Sandra Eaton, Annie Gianaris and Laura Montague; many nieces, nephews, friends; and special neighbors: Scott and Pam Postlethwait. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents: Edd and Laura Hays; her husband, William Eaton; two sons: Duane and Leroy; and sister, Velma Jones-Doke. Dorothy was retired linen finisher from St. Anthony Hospital and was also employed at Luke's Market Basket and Crown Meat Market. She was a member of American Legion Cedar Lake Post 261 Auxiliary. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN with Rev. John Starr officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.
