Dorothy I. Gray, 78, Bradenton and formerly of Longboat Key and Anna Maria, died Jan. 25, 2003. She was born July 1, 1924, in Gridley, Ill., and came to the area in 1961 from there. She was a homemaker and participated in civil services during World War II. She was a Lutheran. Survivors include daughters Paula Medor-Rampart of Spring Hill and Cindy Rudin of Apple Valley, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Kris Hanley of Desert Springs, Calif.; a son, Dean Rich of Naples; stepsons Dave of Long Beach, Calif., and Kurt of Hesperia, Calif.; sisters Lorraine Hartman of Gridley, Donna Price of Chattanooga, Tenn., Ramona Schuler of Chenoa, Ill., and Tina Clark of Cooksville, Ill.; a brother, Lester Bauman of Rockford, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be in the spring. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
