WALLINGFORD - Dorothy H. Clark, 85, the daughter of the late Howard and Lela Shorey, passed away Dec. 19, 2008, at Hartford Hospital. She has lived the past 10 years in Connecticut and the last six years at the Wright Building at the Masonic Home in Wallingford. Dorothy was born March 6, 1923, in Bluffton, Ind. Besides her family, she was the most proud of being a Hoosier and loved to tell others how wonderful Indiana was. She leaves behind three daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Jim Johnson of Angola, Ind., Judy and Bill Daley of Meriden, Diane and Scott Sancho of Wallingford; she also leaves six grandchildren who will miss her very much, Tammy Johnson of Angola, Ind., Rick Johnson of Angola, Ind., Eric Daley of Los Angeles, Calif., Christine Daley of New York, N.Y, Avery Fisher of Seattle, Wash., Megan Fisher of Wallingford; and step-grandsons, Jeff and Mike Sancho of South Windsor. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, including Seth Wagoner who is stationed in Iraq, Shawn Wagoner who just joined the Army, Leah Bea Daley, Paige Villabla and her newest great-grandchild, Benjamin Daley born just this past Nov. 14th. In Indiana she is survived by a brother, Fred Shorey; and two sisters, Jean and Jane Shorey. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Howard Jr. and Kenny Shorey; and two sisters, Lousie Koontz and Mary Murphy. She also leaves behind her many friends at the Wright Building in Masonic. She loved flowers, but the family knows in lieu of any flowers, mom being practical, would have appreciated instead a donation to Masonic, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492. Her family wants to thank all of the people that took care of our mother at Masonic and Hartford Hospital. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd at 5 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden.
