BARRE – Dorothy Hufnal Branner, 96, of Barre, died April 30, 2010, at Woodridge Nursing Home.Born July 1, 1913, in Middleton, Del., she was the daughter of Harry and Ella Hufnal who had a small vegetable farm there. After graduating from Middleton High School, she married William Branner. They lived in Middletown and Mount Pleasant, Del., where he ran a general store.In 1982, they moved to Vermont to live with their daughter and son-in-law, Nance and Warren Wolfe. Bill died later that same year but Dorothy remained, living at North Barre Manor for over 25 years before coming to live with her daughter in 2009. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and her family.She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Wolfe, of Barre; son, Richard, of New Hartford, N.Y.; grandsons Adam Wolfe of Burlington, Jason Branner of Rochester, N.Y., and Ryan Branner of Illion, N.Y.; granddaughter, Megan Wolfe of Barre; great-granddaughters Taylor Brown Wolfe and Aliyah Luther.Friends may call at the home at 4 Park St., Barre, on Monday, May 3, 4 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held later in Middletown, Del.
