Evans Evans, Dorothy, age 95 of Ft. Lauderdale passed away peacefully on Jan. 23rd at her home. Dorothy was born in Cleveland, OH to Joseph and Ella Grossman. She graduated in 1934 from Ohio University with a degree in Home Economics. She was married to David B. Evans in 1939. In 1962, she and David moved to Florida to open his State Farm Agency in Wilton Manors. They have resided since. Dorothy gave generously of her time. She was an Elder and Deacon in her church where she was a member for over 30 years. She volunteered for 20 years with the Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by devoted husband, David B.; son, Dick; grandson, James; daughter-in-law, Carolyn; brother, John Grossman; nieces, Gretchen Robinson, Susan Tanto, Gay Fitzgibbon; and nephew, Bill Yant. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Yant. The Memorial Service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at noon. Interment will take place at a later date in Cleveland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hospice by the Sea, 1531 W. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kraeer Funeral Homes.
