Dorothy Dot Evans On March 10th, 2010, Dorothy (Dot) Evans (nee Barker), loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and dear friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Those she leaves behind will remember her as a gracious host, fantastic curler, and avid gardener. She won several Regina Horticultural Society Grand Aggregate Awards. Her flowers were always on display at the acreage she and her late husband, Ronald (Nobby), built near Lumsden where they welcomed family, friends and the Optimist Club's annual BBQ. Dot and Nobby were a duo at home and work, running Nobby's Auto Body together for nearly 50 years. Curling nurtured friendships at the Highland Curling Club and took her to Minot for bonspiels and Europe to watch the Silver Broom. Dot now joins Nobby, daughter Janice, sister Marj, and great-grandbaby Angelica in our hearts. Dorothy's love carries on with her son Ronald (Christine), daughter Karen Nye (Bob); sister Hilda Erlandson (Omar); grandchildren Veronica (Gilles), Nathan (Angie), Joel Nye (Brenda), Christopher Rathwell (Leanne), Jeffrey (Michelle) Nye, James (Christine) Rathwell, Joshua (Abby) and Jamie (Rhonda) Nye; great-grandchildren Joseph, Aedan, Presley, Holland and Corson, as well as nieces, nephews and longtime friends. A celebration of Dot's life will be held in Regina, Monday, March 15th, at 10:00 am in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue.
