Dorothy Mae Eaton Hessville, IN Dorothy Mae Eaton, age 78, of Hessville went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 20, 2007 at Community Hospital in Munster, IN, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with her health. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Edward Eaton; two daughters: Nancy (Ron) Wilson of dyer, IN and Linda (Mickey) Gifford of Naples, FL: four grandchildren: Kimberly (Dr. Alan) Jones of Munster, IN, Jeffrey (Leslie) Gifford of Munster, IN, Jennifer Wilson of Dyer, IN and Natalie (Quinn) Hartmann of Crown Point, IN; great-grandchildren: Jody Wilson, Christopher and Michael Jones, Luke Hartmann, Kirsten and Matthew Gifford; one sister, Virginia (Dwight) Grant of Peoria, IL; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hammond (Hessville), IN with Elder Russell Smiddy officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dorothy was a resident of the Hessville section of Hammond for 60 years. She was a faithful member of Cline Gardens Christian Church in Hessville where she was known as the "Sunshine Lady" who brought laughter and cheer to all. Dorothy enjoyed the Women's Fellowship at her church and was a member of the Dartball League. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was the happiest when her family was together. Dorothy lived for her family. They brought her much joy and she gave them her heart.
