Dorothy E. Peters, 89     SACO - Dorothy E. Peters, 89, of Jenkins Road, Saco, formerly of Woodford Street, Portland died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006 at a Portland hospital after a brief illness.     She was born in Lee,a daughter of Charles and Hazel Ware Hamm where she attended school. She moved to Portland in 1956.     She attended the Church of God in Portland. Enjoyed spending time with her family especially having her grandchildren visit with her. She also enjoyed baking for various church activities.      She is predeceased by her husband James Peters in 1993.     She leaves two sons, Donald Peters of Scarborough, and Clayton Peters of Cumberland; a daughter, Delores Meeks of Northampton, Mass.; a brother, Roger and his wife Marie Hamm of Mattawamkeag; daughter- in-law, Carol Roland of Portland, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grand- children, two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.     Visiting hours will be held Monday Jan. 30, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the South Portland Church of the Nazarene, Highland Avenue, South Portland followed by a Celebration of her Life at noon at the church.
