McDonald, Dorothy E. 86, passed away July 19, 2007, at home in loving company of family. Originally from Chicago, she moved to Clearwater with her husband Robert who preceded her in death in 1994. Dorothy was happiest around family, who followed their parents to the Clearwater area. Dorothy was a member of the House of Prayer, congregation of the Espiritu Santo and St. Michael's parishes. A warm heart and quick smile was embraced by all who knew her. Known for her strength and devotion to others, her unwavering faith in God, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had six children: Bill, Michael, Peggy and Jimmy, and preceded in death by her two daughters, Judy and Mary Ann; five grandchildren, Pam, Mary Jo, Lisa, Melissa and Aly; great-grandchildren Jackson, Grace, Dillon, Ryan and Parker. A Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Espiritu Santo Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast in her memory.
