PETERS In CT Hospice, February 19, 2011, Dorothy E. Kelly Peters, age 89 of Milford, former longtime North Haven resident. She was the wife of the late Stanley "Pete" Peters; mother of Dorothy J. (Jack) Devine of Trumbull and Karen F. (Stephen) Dunn of Stratford; sister of Joseph E. Kelly and Sally A. Bartis, both of Bonita Springs, Fla. and the late Bernice Samsoe. Also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchild-ren; and several nieces and nephews. Born July 2,1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late Francis E. and Hylah Ostrander Kelly, she was a graduate of West Haven High School and the Pratt Institute. Dorothy was employed for many years as a claims examiner for Blue Cross-Blue Shield and had also worked for Drazen Lumber Co. After her retirement, she lived in Florida for several years where she did volunteer work for the Christian Brothers. In recocnition of this work, she was named an Associate of the Christian Brothers. Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
