SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Dorothy Castle Mims Johnson, 80, formerly of 100 South Carolina Avenue, Spartanburg, widow of William Johnson, died at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on April 15, 2007 after a long illness.A native of Union County, she was the daughter of the late James Castle and the late Emma King Castle Beatty. She was a former member, secretary, Sunday School Teacher and President of the Deaconess Board of Bunton Institutional CME Church of Spartanburg, SC.She was a retiree of Piedmont Community Actions of Spartanburg.Mrs. Johnson is the last surviving member of her immediate family.Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Gardens by the Rev. W. E. Smith.Alexander, Casey & Gist Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
