Occupation Line SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Dorothy Branch Smith, 76, of Spartanburg, formerly of Beech Island, S.C., died Monday, August 2, 2004. Born December 1, 1927, in Augusta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Guy Carroll and Estelle Branch Smith. She was a chemist in the lab at the Medical University of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Beech Island, S.C. Survivors include a sister, Marion Smith Anderson of Beaufort, S.C.; three nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by a sister, Carroll Smith Seitman. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Beech Island, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Charlotte Waldrop. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 1595 Williston Road, North Augusta, S.C. 29842; or to Lutheran Hospice, P. O. Box 1353, Greer, S.C. 29652.
