ANDERSON, Dorothy Anne Austin, 85, formerly of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 in Norwalk, Ohio. She was born April 12, 1924. Her parents, Russell Hollis Austin and Ruby (Grandon) Austin, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Robert Anderson of Norwalk; siblings, Lillian Marie Norvell of Waterford, Mich., and Ralph James Austin of Coral Springs, Fla.; children, William Austin Anderson of River Falls, Wis., Anne Marie Seaman of Norwalk, and Carol Jeanne Bishop of Red Rock, Texas; as well as five grandchildren, John, Andrea, David A., Ken and David F.; and four great-grandchildren Carter, Leona, Asher and Sydney. "Dottie" grew up in Pontiac, Mich. She lived in East Lansing, Mich., Colorado Springs, Colo., Lawton, Okla., Ames, Iowa, Columbus, Ohio, Kingsville, Texas, Tifton, Ga., and Sun City, Fla., before moving to Norwalk. She participated in Alpha Tau of Sigma Kappa and Panhellenic at Michigan State University, the United Methodist Women' s Club, various University Women' s clubs, fundraising for Arthritis and Cancer Foundations, as a cub scout leader, as well as in music, garden and ceramic clubs. Her loving family will miss her. Private services will take place at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk.
