Higgins, Dorothy Angela, 86, of Pompano Beach, FL passed away July 29, 2006. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was devoted to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and served as the secretary. She was also a Red Cross Volunteer at North Broward Medical Center for many years. Her husband, Frank E. Higgins, Sr., predeceased her. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: James (Phyllis) Higgins, Dorothy Dicken, Edward Higgins, Paco (Tana) Higgins, Jr., Georgeanne (Steve) Chorzelewski, Martin Higgins, Robert (Jill) Higgins, William (Beth) Higgins, Therese Bouton; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Virginia (Frank) Caputi, Joan Hartman, Claire Bauman, sisters-in-law, Mary Gallagher, Rita Master and brother-in-law, Joseph (Marianna) Higgins also survive her. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm at FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME NORTH, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 10:00am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 3331 NE 10th Terrace, Pompano Beach. The family suggests donations be made in Dorothy's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
