ANDERSON, Dorothy Violet "Vi"March 23, 1927 - May 21, 2013Surrounded by family, Dorothy Violet Anderson (nee Tovell) passed away on May 21, 2013 after a lengthy struggle with dementia.Left to mourn are her four children Sharon (Ron) Cornelius and Lila (Ian) Befus of Spruce Grove, Charlene Anderson of Calgary, and Laura MacKinnon of Okotoks. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Rhonda, Janice, Diana, Paul, Dawn, James, Christopher, and Kimberlee, and ten great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Kit Hutchinson and Margaret Ferguson.Mom was predeceased by Angus, her husband of 50 years. She lovingly took care of him during their married lives together as his body succumbed to the complexities of multiple sclerosis. Mom was also predeceased by her brother David, sisters-in- law Lenora, Hilda, and Florence and her brother-in-law Ross.A funeral service to celebrate Vi's life will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Glenwood Funeral Home 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
