DOROTHEA MAE SMITH Age 80, died May 17th, 2010 at LandMark Of Athens Hospital, Athens, GA. Members of her family were with her. Dorothea's family stated there will be no more pain nor suffering and disappointment for her. She has gone home to be with the Lord. Her beautiful smile, with one eyebrow raised and a twinkle in her eye, will shine down on us forever. She will be with all the loved ones who passed before her. Dottie will never be forgotten. A lifelong New Yorker, Dot was recently transplanted by her son, Dan, to Georgia to live with his family. Dorothea was born to the Leet familyof CA., and adopted by William and Maude Smith of Peruville, NY. As a young mother, Dot worked at National Cash Register Inc. until she was disabled by a fall. She was plagued with painful back problems and related issues, the remainder of her life. Dot married Donald G. Enders and they gave birth to six children. They lived in numerous locations such as Belfast, Cuba, Springville, Peruville, Slaterville, Dryden, Newfield and Ithaca. Dorothea was a long time member of the VFW, Post 961, Ithaca, NY, Ladies Auxillary. She was predeceased by her sister Eleanor Howland, and her two daughters, Diana Jo and Linda Susan Enders. Survivors include Linda's children, Jeanie Lea (Brian) McDuffee, Jamaine Dell Butler, Jasmine Jade and Anthony Dell Butler. Robert James (Kap-Sun Choe) Enders, Anchorage, AK, their children, Robin June Enders, Seattle, WA; Crystal Gayle (Enders) Smith (Gregory) and their children Lawson and Haydon Smith, Kelseyville, CA.Daniel George (Janice) Enders, Monroe, GA., children Brian George (Billie Jo) Enders,children Joshua and Mathew Enders, Cortland, NY., Michael James Enders, San Francisco, CA., Jodie Beth Enders, Monroe, GA. Gail Marie Enders-Howard, Binghamton, NY.,children Dorian C. Howard II., D'Andre Marquis Howard, Binghamton, NY., Devin M. Howard, Lyric Monet Howard, Ithaca, NY. Vicky Lynne Enders, Monroe, GA, children Julie Kilts (Joey) Hall, Children Anna and Ethan Hall, Thomas (Sarah) Kilts, daughter India Kilts, Gainesville, GA., and Jonathon Kilts of Ithaca, NY. Cremation was handled by Lawrenceville Chapel Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, GA. No memorial services are planned.
