DORIS TAYLOR, 85 LAKELAND - Doris Taylor, 85, of Lakeland, died Tuesday, February 05, 2008 at Good Shepherd Hospice of Auburndale due to heart failure. She was born November 13, 1922 in Eaton Park to K.D. and Effie Prevatt, Sr. and was a member for over 28 years of Victory Baptist Church. Doris was united in marriage in 1942 to George Edward Taylor who preceded her in death in 1999. She is survived by her brother, K. D. Prevatt, Jr. of Plant City; two grandsons, David (Amy) Taylor and Danny (Sue) Taylor both of Lakeland; great grandchildren, David and Ashley Taylor both of Lakeland; two nephews, Gene and Maxie Horton and her former daughter-in-law, Joyce Holder of Lakeland. Friends will be received from 6-8pm Saturday at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Dukes-Steen Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Fitzgerald Cemetery, Lakeland.
