Doris Sarah Rigby (nee Allen), 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Morristown Medical Center. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. The blessing service celebrating her life will be celebrated at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Doris grew up in South Orange, N.J., the youngest of 12 siblings, and then moved to the Livingston, N.J., home where she lived for the past 64 years. She was a loving homemaker with a special interest in nature, especially gardening. Doris was also a member of the Federated Church of Livingston's Women's Circle. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Gordon, she is survived by her devoted children, Gordon N. and his wife, Patricia, and Robin L. and his wife. Angela; she is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Michael, Michelle Strasser, and her three great-grandchildren.
