February 22, 2007 Doris Mary (Ryder) Dutcher died shortly after midnight the morning of February 22, 2007 at St. Camillus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 98 years old. Doris was born November 30, 1908 at her parent's home in Delphi Falls, New York (Township of Pompey). She married Edward H. Dutcher at midnight, August 15, 1931 in Syracuse. The couple lived in Rockville Center, Freeport, and Kingston, New York before returning to Syracuse in 1942. Mrs. Dutcher was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1975. In earlier years, she was very active in church affairs at Erwin Methodist Church and devoted much of her time to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by son, John Dutcher (Oregon); and daughter, Nancy Horton (Texas); four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition, she has one surviving sister, Jane Davenport. Three other sisters, Margaret, Hazel, and Ruth; and a brother, George, preceded her in death. Greenleaf Funeral Home, Inc.
