DORIS M. KING HOBART, IN Doris M. King, age 83, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009. Doris was born February 5, 1926 in Hobart, Indiana to Louis W. and Myrtle M. (nee Scharbach) Kramer. She was a 1943 graduate of Hobart High School. Doris married Charles B. King Sr. on May 26, 1946. Doris was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church Hobart serving on the Altar Guild and former longtime member of the Church Choir also former member of St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary "Pink Ladies". She is survived by 3 sons, Charles (Mary) King Jr. of Valparaiso, John (Rhonda) King of Medina, OH, David King of Merrillville; 2 daughters, Cheryl Mathis of Valparaiso, Linda Phillips of Louisville, OH; 1 sister, Carolyn Thompson of Hobart; 10 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Vedope of Hobart; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Husband, Parents, Sister, Lou Ann Hudspeth. Memorial contributions are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church Altar Guild or the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir. St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary will conduct a Memorial service at 3:00 PM on Thursday. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Drive, Hobart. Rev. Gary S. Nagy officiating. Burial Evergreen Memorial Park.
