Doris Jordan TAUNTON Doris (Freeman) Jordan, 89 years old, died at Morton Hospital, Taunton, Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008. Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Verner and Hulda ( Granfors) Freeman, she was educated in Brockton schools. She was a long time resident of Bridgewater, having moved to Taunton 16 years ago. Doris was the widow of Harry Wesley Jordon, who died Dec. 12, 1999. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Bridgewater. Doris was a long time volunteer at the Braemoor Nursing Home in Brockton and enjoyed crafts and knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Ingeborg Lodge in Brockton. She is survived by two daughters, Lois Crapo and Priscilla Merrey, both of Taunton; and a son, Bruce Jordan of Nebraska. She was the grandmother of Michael, Rhonda, Scott , Daphne, Jessica and Kyle; and the great-grandmother of six. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the United Methodist Church, 35 School St., Bridgewater, Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are omitted and burial will be private.
