Doris Syvila Sullivan Henderson, age 72, of 310 Waterbury Court, Ambergate Community, died Monday, July 3, 2006, in the Hillcrest Hospital. The first child of the late Lydia T. Owens Sullivan and Thomas Jefferson Sullivan, she was a graduate of Fountain Inn Negro High School, a member of the Reedy Fork Baptist Church and was a dedicated employee for over 25 years of Union Carbide/Kemet Co. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (John) Pendarvis and Allison J. Greer of Simpsonville; a son, Hal E. (Glynis) Henderson of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Jenett Marie Workman of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, John W. (Catherine) Sullivan of Greenville, Fred L. Sullivan, Eddie C. Sullivan and James C. Sullivan of Simpsonville; and six grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday, 3 p.m. at the Reedy Fork Baptist Church, with Rev. T.E. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and John Pendarvis, 711 N. Almond Drive, Simpsonville.Beasley Funeral Home.
