BERNARD, Doris (Hale). Peacefully at the Montreal General Hospital on May 8, 2006. Doris, born November 2, 1922 in Atherton, England, emigrated to Canada in 1957. She will be fondly remembered as a high school athlete, skilled crewel craftsperson, passionate boater and lawn bowler. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Ann Hale; her late husband, Claude Edward Bernard; sisters, Esther and Annie. Doris is survived by sister Alice (Derek) Warburton, England and nephews and nieces in England and Canada. A memorial service will be held at the Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home Chapel, 222, Autoroute 20, Pointe Claire, (Exit 49 Cartier Ave) 514-483-1870 on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
