DAVIS, Doris (Dody) Elizabeth (nee Clemence) . January 28, 1931 – March 23, 2014 . It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Doris at age 83. Married 61 years to Jack, she is survived by her children Linda (Rick), Howard (Bev), Glen (Darlene) and Kelly (Harry); grandchildren Aaron, Shawn, Carla, Kevin, Beth, Kelli, Samantha and Laura; and great-grandchildren Daniel, Mia and Gabby; also sister Ida from Parksville and brother Don from Regina. She is predeceased by her parents Earl and Grace Clemence, brother Murray and sister Ruby. . After moving to Ladner from her birthplace Regina, mom enjoyed working with many businesses including Cold Storage, RBC, Bluebird Café, 5 & Dime, Ed's Camera & Hobby, Perry's Dept. and Colombo Jewelers. . Her interests included playing softball, Teentown, square dancing, of course bingo and family dinners. . Mom was known for her radiant smile and warm humour even in trying times as the wonderful staff at Mountainview Manor told us often. . We wish to acknowledge Dr. Lebel for her warm, reassuring manner. . Doris' Celebration of Life will be held at The Harris Barn, 4140 Arthur Drive, Ladner, BC on Sunday, May 11, 2014, 1-4 pm, Eulogy at 1:30 pm, refreshments to follow. .
