Passed away September 12, 2003, surrounded by family at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Ottawa, after a long, courageous battle with cancer in her 49th year. Beloved wife of Omer Parent of Aylmer, Quebec. Loving mother of Samantha. Daughter of Angeline Clark and the late Carl Clark of Smiths Falls. Sister of Iris (Jeffrey) Kennedy of Brockville, Barbara (Steve) Kellar of Picton, Carl Clark and Cyndi (Dan) Fortin of Smiths Falls. Stepmother of Mike and Patricia Parent. Predeceased by daughter Francine Gratton and sister Judy Currie and brother Ronald Clark. Aunt of several nieces and nephews and step-grandmother of three. Doris will be sadly missed by all and fondly remembered for her generous spirit, wonderful sense of humour and her love of life and people. The family would like to thank the staff at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre for the compassionate care given to Doris during her stay. A Memorial Service will be held in the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre's Chapel on Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. A burial service will be held in Toledo at a later date. At the family's request, memorial donations to Samantha's Education Fund in care of Iris Kennedy. For further information, please contact a family member.
