PETERSON, Doris B. Tampa passed away May 9, 2013, home- going services Saturday, May 18th, 10 am, at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Interment in Orange Hill Cemetery. Doris was born Aug. 1, 1925 in Sarasota to the late John Albert Clark and Lena Fields Clark. She attended Truevine Baptist Church in Sarasota. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Organization. Predeceased by parents, husband, Walter; sons, Clifford and Larry; daughter, Vivian; brothers, John, Tommy and Ray; sisters, Frances and Edna; sons-in-law, Robert and Eddie and daughter-in-law, Vera. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, children, Esther M. Coleman, Lillian Joyce Cromartie, Verneve Green (Leroy), Ronald Lee Peterson Sr. (Lyndie) and Leon Fitts; grandchildren, Edwina Coleman, Doris Cromartie, Walter Green, Shawanda Webb, Trienicia Washington, Renard Green, Erica K. and Eliria N. Coleman, Veronica Peterson, Doscellina Cromartie, Tina Bolds, Derrick Cromartie, Derrick Bolds, Terrance Peterson, Tracy and Robert Fitts, Carol, Jordan, Clifford, Jr., Mamie and Jennifer Peterson; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lee Clark (Helen) and Willie Frank Weston; daughter-in-law, Marsha Peterson and son-in-law, Douglas Miller; host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. Visitation, Aikens Funeral Home Friday, May 17th, 5-8 pm. Family & friends meet at the chapel, Saturday for service.
