Doris Helen Arrington 1919-2009 BRATTLEBORO Doris Helen Arrington, 90, of Village Drive, died early Thursday morning, December 10, 2009 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Arrington was born in Greenfield, Mass on October 23, 1919, the daughter of Francis and Henrietta Hubbard Clark. She was raised and educated in Bernardston attending the former Powers Institute where she graduated Valedictorian of her class.She went on to attend Thompson School of Nursing in Brattleboro where she received her LPN later working as a nurse at the former Parkview Nursing Home on Putney Road. She also performed private duty nursing in the greater Brattleboro area.A faithful and devoted wife and loving mother her life centered around her family.Mrs. Arrington enjoyed crafts, making dolls, knitting and country and western music.She was the wife of Paul B. Arrington who she married in Taunton, Mass. Her husband predeceased her in December 1981.Survivors include, two daughters, Bree Arrington of Brattleboro and Beverly Power of Stoddard, N.H.; three sisters, Gertrude Hale of Bernardston, Marion Landry of Tallahassee, Fla. and Lois Black of Northfield, Mass.; one brother, Francis Clark Jr. of Bernardston, six grandchildren that includes a granddaughter that she raised, Shannon Hann. Additionally she leaves nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by two sisters, Loretta Derig and Ruth Vigneault.FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside committal services will be conducted in the springtime in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery on Orchard Street.Memorial contributions in Mrs. Arrington's name may be made to, Rescue Inc., P.O.
