Doris A. St. Cyr, 91 WESTBROOK -- Doris A. St. Cyr, 91, of North Street, Westbrook, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of Harry and Mary Morrisey Johnson. Doris was a life long resident of Westbrook and a communicant of St. Hyacinth Church. She was an avid crafter; making and donating her crafts to charities such as M.M.C. Children's Center and the St. Hyacinth Church Fairs for many years. She also loved to make mittens for her grandchildren. She would line up the mittens in a box by size and the grandchildren picked the size and color they liked. Doris was a wonderful woman and mother, and loved by all. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, and would brag about them often. She loved walking. She walked around the city of Westbrook daily for over 20 years, up until age 84. She missed her walks dearly after she wasn't able to any more. Doris was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Roland Ludger St. Cyr, who died in 1982. She was also predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by 11 children, Jeannette St. Cyr Crawford Rossi and her husband Louis of Portland, Raymond St. Cyr of Yorba Linda, Calif., Yvonne St. Cyr Richards of Westbrook, Philip St. Cyr of Colville, Wash., Alfred St. Cyr of Westbrook, Germaine St. Cyr Morabito and her husband Bruce of Buxton, Theresa St. Cyr Berry of Turner, Arthur St. Cyr and his wife Camie of Gray, Rose St. Cyr Harriman and her husband Steven of Westbrook, Lucienne St. Cyr Sorensen and her husband Jimmy of Industry, and Jean St. Cyr Jones and her husband Steve of Westbrook; 35 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister Mary Johnson Eldridge; sisters-in-law, Germaine St. Cyr Gouzie, Lucienne St. Cyr Mayo, Veronica St. Cyr Arsenault, Georgette St. Cyr Tanner, and Virginia Paul St. Cyr, brothers-in-law, Fredericl Mayo and Harvey Tanner Jr.; several godchildren; nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Brown Street, Westbrook. Spring burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
