Doris A. Goodwin, 84, North Port, died April 27, 2002. She was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Gloucester, Mass., and came to North Port in 1979 from Massachusetts. She was a secretary for Camp Rotary in Boxford, Mass., for 30 years and a club leader for the YMCA in Gloucester and Lynn, Mass. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the First Settlers of Newbury and Essex Genealogy Society and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in North Port. A sister, Corinne B. Witham of Gloucester, Mass., died April 28, 2002. Survivors include daughters Paige Harding of Portage, Mich., and Jill Palmer of Westminster, Mass.; a son, James H. III of Flint, Mich.; eight grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A combined memorial service for sisters Doris Goodwin and Corinne Witham, will be in Rockport, Mass.
