McGUIRE, Doreen, Mary (nee D'Arcy) In loving memory of Doreen McGuire, 78 years of Sudbury who passed away Friday morning, December 10, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site, surrounded by her loving family. She married Sylvester McGuire in 1946 in Sheenboro, Quebec. Born and raised in Sheenboro, Quebec, Doreen moved to Sudbury in 1946 from the Ottawa Valley. A devout Roman Catholic she had been a founding member of St. Andrew The Apostle Church. She had been very active in parish ministries, activities and projects, having served faithfully many years as a minister of the eucharist. She took pride in her Irish heritage which she celebrated in music with relatives and friends. Doreen was devoted to her loving family. Beloved wife of Sylvester McGuire of Sudbury. Loving mother of Barbara (husband Tim Fenske) of Sudbury, Betty (husband Ben Rowley) of North Bay, Patrick (wife Michelle) of Sudbury, Kevin (wife Margaret) of Georgetown, Michael (wife Anne) of Hanmer, D'Arcy (wife Marge) of Ottawa and Christopher (wife Celia) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grand- children. Dear daughter of Patrick and Mary (Walker) D'Arcy predeceased. Dear sister of Harold Darcy (Catherine) of Sudbury, Cecil D'Arcy (Helen) of Pembroke. Claire Foley (Don) of Toronto, Mary Beggan (Tom), Dominic D'Arcy (Noelle), Theresa Morris (Fred), Leona Oullette (Denis), Helen Chalifour (Dennis) of Ottawa, predeceased by Clarence, Joseph, Patricia, Arnold and Dennis. Survived by sisters-in-law Noreen Darcy and Rita D'Arcy and Audrey D'Arcy. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Andrew The Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Rd., Sudbury Monday, December 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery, Sudbury. Prayers 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
