The world has lost another shining light; a woman who inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.Donna Williams (July 28,1950) is survived by her loving husband Larry, daughter Shauna (Kevin), son Robert (Catharine) and 5 grandchildren Montana, Sierra, Jenna, Corn & Jessi as well as her brothers, sisters and extended families.Donna passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding her on May 22, 2012. The family would like to thank Dr. Spry who in his own grief was there to support us. Thank you to the ALS Society, GF Strong Rehab Centre, Nurses, Home Support Care Workers, Nanaimo Hospice Society and family and friends who provided support, care and love.In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in Donna's name to ALS Society, Nanaimo Hospice Society or support her sister Lorene Goodwin's Walk for ALS, Surrey, BC, June 17,2012 (www.walkforals.ca)As per Donna's wishes a Celebration of Life Open House will be held on June 2, 2012 starting at 11:00am - 7:00pm in the clubhouse at 6738 Dickinson Road, Nanaimo.There were so many who cherished every moment spent with her. Donna's passing will create a huge hole in all our hearts. Her strength and courage in dealing with ALS was a true testament to her amazing character
