Funeral service for Donna Morris, 71, Daytona Beach, who died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, will be 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Haigh-Black Funeral Home, 167 Vining Court, Ormond Beach. Cremation will follow. Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home. Mrs. Morris formerly owned and operated the Sounding Board, Inc. in Ormond Beach and retired from Haynes Brothers Furniture. She was a member of Hope Metropolitan Community Church and enjoyed writing, swimming and baking. She also formed several volunteer groups for the poor and elderly. Predeceased by two sons, Robert and Terry, she is survived by four sons, Lee Gray, Portland, Ore., Dan Gray, Pomona Park, Thomas Gray, Lakeland, and Scott Gray, Slocomb, Ala.; two brothers, Joseph Pape, Barrington, Ill., and Gary Morris, DeLand; two sisters, Joy Morris, Utah, and Noel Patrick, Florida; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
