Donna-Mae Jones, née en 1919, conjointe de Melvin Jones, fille de Louis et Beatrice, est décédée.
DONNA MAE JONES- With hearts filled with gratitude and love, on October 12th, 2007, we bid farewell to our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Donna was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her family Carole (Les), Bill (Marcia), Keith (Marilyn), Brent (Wanda), Rodney (Myrna), Marty (Phyllis), Melody (Owen) and Wade. She was a grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Mom was born on November 8th, 1919 to Beatrice and Louis Archibald. She was one of six siblings. Left to cherish her memory is brother Eldon (Jean) and sister-in-law Marie. She will also be missed by numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Melvin, sons Ronald & Kenneth, brothers Willard, Lorne & Bill and sister Frances. She was the ultimate homemaker. She cooked baked, cleaned, gardened, sewed, knitted an crocheted all the while caring for her children until they were grown. She was famous for her fresh baked cinnamon buns. Mom never much cared for personal possessions. Her interest was in people; in their struggles & triumph, their joys, she was eager to discuss any to topic. Her grandchildren appreciated her sincere, non judgemental interest in their lives and activities. In fact it was her curiosity and openness to new ideas which kept her youthful and gave her wisdom so valued by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors & nurses of the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for the compassion and care they provided, not only for mom, but also for us. Also, we include & thank Dr. Maree & Staff of the Craik & District Health Care Center. A Celebration of Donna's life for her family & friends will be announced at a later edition. For friends so wishing memorials in memory of Donna may be directed to the Canadian Diabetic Assoc., or Sask. Heart & Stroke Fund. Hanson's Funeral Home, Davidson, in care of arrangements. ""When a love one becomes a memory, A memory becomes a treasure. Treasure the memories.""
