Donna Jean Smith, 75, of Elizabethtown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.She was a native of Wisconsin and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Anglers Club with her husband for many years.She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Smith; her parents, Chester and Virginia Selma Konopacki Secore; her stepfather, Antone Arnold; one brother, Dan Arnold; one daughter-in-law, Donna Douthitt; and a stepgranddaughter, Jamie Douthitt.She is the beloved mother of her daughter, Debbie (Rick) Smith of Elizabethtown; and two sons, Jerry Scheppa of Elizabethtown and Don Smith and his partner, Linda Tressler, both of Cecilia. She also is survived by two brothers, Dave Secore of Wilmington, N.C., and Steve Arnold of Trevor, Wis.; a sister, Ellen Arnold of Port Edwards, Wis.; three grandchildren, one stepgranddaughter, three great-granddaughters and three stepgreat-grandchildren.The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Radcliff with the Rev. Dennis Cousens officiating. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens.Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and at 9 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
