Donna Faye Smith, 61, of Hinesville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at St. Joseph's/Candler in Savannah after a short illness.She was a native of Brookville, Pa., and lived in Hinesville for 12 years. She was retired from Coldwell Banker Holtzman Realtors in Hinesville. Mrs. Smith was a member of Elim Baptist Church in Ludowici and its Senior Adult Sunday School Class.She was predeceased by her father Donald Leroy Fleming.Survivors are her husband, Ty Smith of Hinesville; daughter, Melanie (Paul) Spradley of Hinesville; sons, Jeff (Tricia) Dempsey of Atlanta, and Chad (Melissa) Dempsey of Apopka, Fla.; stepdaughter, Tammy (Johnny) Wells of Hinesville; mother, Faye Fleming of Hinesville; sister, Carol (Richard) Sheats of Ligonier, Pa.; brother, Clair (Sandy) Fleming of Brookville; and grandchildren, Catherine Dempsey, Nicholas Spradley, Nathan Spradley, Charlie Spradley, Addison Dempsey and Alexandra Dempsey.Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, and his funeral will follow at 2 at Elim Baptist Church in Ludowici.The family requests memorials be sent to Liberty County Humane Society, 279 Briarwood Circle Hinesville, GA 31313.Carter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
